If truth be told, this is not strictly champagne, but a prosecco – champagne’s generally perceived inferior Italian cousin. All prosecco comes from the white italian grape of the same name, but this one - Prosecco Gold – is a doc prosecco made from a careful selection of grapes grown in the mineral rich hills around Col San Martin. The bottle design is intended to reflect the exclusivity of this prosecco, and it comes in a black velvet bag to compliment this.
