hair today / gone tomorrow

Capicú doesn’t seek to be provocative for the sake of being provocative – but sparking debate demonstrates engagement and interest. However to be completely honest, the furore that was caused by the fix up look sharp post took me by surprise. Subsequent debate threw up some interesting issues, and concluded that whether you like it or not – at least the knife comb was brought into your world through that post.

This knuckle-comb from Kosmos Project will no doubt again fuel scorn and condemnation in the minds of some, but for the rest of us who appreciate aesthetic beauty for what it is – this design does have appeal. Granted, the controversiality of what it represents probably adds to the allure, but as the creators themselves say, the outcome is a ‘controversial and on the other hand very sexy object‘.  For those out there who prefer to dig a little deeper, and concern themselves with the social statement this type of object makes, theorise away…
