It seems that wherever you stop, look and listen these days you see [and hear] Toronto born Drake. Rightly so you could argue, he’s certainly making moves right now – having signed to Weezy’s Young Money Entertainment and frequently collaborating with the likes of Jay-Z, Trey Songz, Kanye and of course Lil Wayne.
The video to his latest effort The Best I Ever Had [below] was directed by Kanye – which won’t surprise anyone who’s watched it – and I wanted to let the dust settle on this one before entering the fray. The consensus seems to be that the track gets the thumbs up, but the video on the other hand falls foul of the mark it seems – it’s been slated and widely dubbed predictable and disappointing. In music as in politics, the majority isn’t always right though – judge for yourself…
